DOKU wallet acts as a virtual wallet and can be used by Indonesian shoppers only. DOKU wallet users can purchase goods and services online by using their topped up value. Top-ups can be done via credit cards, online bank transfer or cash payment.

INTRODUCTION

DOKU wallet was launched early 2013 by payment processing company Doku and BNI (Bank Negara Indonesia). DOKU wallet aims to replace the physical wallet and to make life easier for consumers shopping online (and via mobile devices). DOKU wallet is independently operated, without the need to have a BNI bank account.

DOKU wallet can be topped up through SMS banking, credit card, or direct transfer from bank accounts and it can be used for personal fund transfer between DOKU wallet accounts as well as paying for online transactions. DOKU wallet enables Indonesian consumers, even the ones without a bank account, to shop online and pay using their digital wallet.

DOKU wallet allows consumers to store a maximum of Rp 5 million (~ 510 US dollar) per account.
