INTERAC Online is the easy-to-use alternative payment method in Canada using secure online bank transfers to complete online purchases.

Interac Online is only available to online shoppers that have access to online banking through a Participating Financial Institution (Bank of Montreal, RBC Royal Bank, Canada Trust and Scotiabank).

When using INTERAC Online at the checkout page, the shopper is redirected to the INTERAC web page, prompting the consumer to select their online bank and login. Then they select the bank account and confirm the payment amount. The shopper is returned to the merchant website and confirms the purchase.

Merchants accepting INTERAC Online in their online store can attract new customers who prefer debit over credit (card) payments and who are unable to obtain cards (teens, newcomers).

INTERAC Online Merchant Fees are set by the INTERAC Merchant Acquirer.
