IP Network Administrator @ Realex Payments
We are seeking a flexible IP Network Administrator to work in a rapidly growing and diverse environment, with a wide range of different systems and software.

This role is a member of the Production Systems team. The Production Systems team manage and operate over 70 platforms, both physical & virtual and the underlying LAN & WAN environment across three Data Centres. The supporting infrastructure consists of a combination of Cisco, HP, DELL, IBM hardware platforms and Windows, Linux operating systems and MS SQL Databases.
Key Responsibilities:
On-going operational management of firewall and firewall changes.Ensuring security and redundancy. Management and tuning of Intrusion Detection Systems, knowledge of network vulnerability scanning & change audit tools and appropriate response to alerts/threats.Detailed knowledge and experience of network monitoring and troubleshooting. Experience of working in process orientated environment Change management and change implementation in High Availability Enterprise environments.Sharing information and providing guidance to other team-membersAsset ManagementShift based roleSkills / Experience Required:
The qualified individual should have a strong technical knowledge of Cisco switching, routing and security devices.
With a minimum of 3-5 years experience supporting a 24X7 service with comprehensive knowledge of IP network administration
Experience of the following is essential:
Cisco Firewalls.
configuration and troubleshooting experience of OSPF routing.
configuration and troubleshooting experience of IPSEC VPN.
Configuration and troubleshooting of layer 2 switching.
Solid knowledge and experience of router redundancy protocols, Spanning-tree, VTP, ISDN, IDS and network device security hardening will be particularly valued.
Hand-on experience of configuration of BGP routing and server load balancing would be desirable.
Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software problems.
Excellent Customer service and interpersonal skills: ability to effectively communicate with end users.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Third level qualification in a computer related discipline or equivalent, industry certification (CCNA/CCDA ) and previous experience in a similar role.
Good time management coupled with excellent communications skills.
