BOSTON – Adyen, the global payments solutions company, today announced that TheNextWeb (TNW), one of the largest and most influential international media companies focusing on Internet technology, business and culture, has expanded its relationship with Adyen to provide payments support in the United States.
Enabling U.S. Local Payment Methods
The expansion will enable the TNW Events division to offer localized payments options for its first TNW USA Conference in New York (October 1-2). Adyen already supports TNW Events in Europe and South America.
Adyen sponsoring TNW Start-Up Rally
In addition, Adyen will be sponsoring the TNW Start-Up Rally at the conference. Fifteen start-ups out of hundreds of applicants, plus five additional start-ups exhibiting at the show, will be launching their companies or announcing major news on stage at the conference before a panel of judges.
To help prepare participants for the Start-Up Rally – and their future success in the global economy – Adyen will host a half-day workshop led by top business executives, serial entrepreneurs and venture capitalists who will consult with the start-ups on business strategies, funding strategies, international payments and new payment technology.
'Need for innovative payment solutions'
“Businesses of tomorrow need innovative, new payment solutions to help them expand their customer bases internationally and capture a greater share of global revenue,” said Mr. Prins. “As a proud partner of TNW’s Start-up Rally, Adyen is delighted to share and discuss today’s modern payment solutions and business strategies that will successfully propel participating start-ups towards their monetization goals.”
In addition to supporting TNW Conferences, Adyen also provides payments support for several other TNW companies, including Paydro.net, Twitter Counter, Qwitter, Kingsofcode. Through Adyen, TNW enables payment in local currencies using 17 different payment methods across Europe, South America and North America, including credit cards, online real-time banking (iDeal, Giropay, Sofort, etc.), e-wallets including Paypal, direct debits and bank transfers.
Adyen to support TNW's global expansion
“Adyen has been providing TNW with comprehensive payments solutions and easy payment options for our customers around the world since 2007, and we’re excited to have them support our expansion to the US market,” said Patrick de Laive, Co-Founder, TheNextWeb. “As TNW expands its global influence and reach into new markets, we’re grateful knowing that Adyen can provide seamless, localized payments support wherever the shifting and growing Internet economy takes us.”
