Valitor and international payment processor PAY.ON enter into cooperation to offer cross-border acquiring services.
PAY.ON AG, a leading processor for payment providers, and Valitor, a leading multi-brand payment card acquirer, announce a cooperation to market Valitor’s payment services internationally. As of today, Valitor is connected to the PAY.ON gateway PayPipe™ and fully integrated into the platform PaySourcing™. Both systems enable payment providers like PSPs to utilise global online payment processing as well as gaining access to the biggest network of connectors and payment schemes worldwide through a single interface.
Clients of PAY.ON will have access to Valitor´s efficient and secure payment platform that supports cross-border acquiring services through a range of e-commerce segments and markets.
For Valitor this cooperation offers great potential to find new business partners. PAY.ON serves PSPs throughout the world with more than 140 different payment systems and provides Valitor with an opportunity to continue expanding its global reach.
Valitor offers fast, easy and secure services to merchants, banks and cardholders. The company offers acquiring and issuing solutions from Visa, MasterCard as well as international and domestic debit cards such as Maestro and Electron. Valitor is currently in the phase of adding more card schemes such as CUP and American Express. In the past, Valitor´s main focus in cross-border acquiring has been general e-commerce whereas today the company is expanding its card present services in certain markets. Valitor has a cross-border license for the European region as defined by the card associations and is one of the few acquirers in Europe with an 8 year track record in cross-border acquiring.
In addition, PAY.ON and Valitor are in the position to offer localised services which meet the individual market’s requirements. Therefore, both companies are able to penetrate new geographical as well as industrial markets.
Ólafur Vilhjálmsson, Executive Director of the Cross Border division at Valitor, states: ”Building on our experience and established reputation, we have positioned ourselves for significant short-to-medium-term expansion in the cross-border acquiring market. It is our aim at Valitor Cross-Border Acquiring to enhance our services on an international level and cooperate closely with our partners and customers to meet the challenges ahead. To meet this goal we have selected PAY.ON as one of our partners. The cooperation provides us with the opportunity to offer our services directly to a number of international PSPs and partners as well as indirectly to even more merchants. Furthermore, with PAY.ON we have the opportunity to expand our corporate services.”
Markus Rinderer, CEO of PAY.ON, adds “We are pleased to have Valitor in our global partner network and to add their merchant services to our payment platform. Both companies will benefit from synergy effects. The PAY.ON systems combined with the competitive services of Valitor enable both companies to maximise their market potential. This will allow PAY.ON to further support its clients in becoming even more active cross-border.”
