NETHERLANDS | Klarna, the pay-after-delivery online payment solution, is on the move. Last December, Klarna increased it’s market share by taking over the German online payment provider SOFORT. Now Klarna is also making big steps in the Netherlands. One of the major online Dutch webshops, Neckermann.com, will start offering Klarna as a payment solution.
'Get the goods before you pay'
Neckermann.com, with its one million Dutch visitors, is expected to offer Klarna to its Dutch clients from April. The management of Neckermann.com explains: "We chose Klarna, because we want to offer the best service. This also means we want to provide our customers the possibility to receive the product before they pay. With the payment solution of Klarna this is possible in a safe and easy way. Another advantage is that we can outsource part of the administrative process to Klarna. In short, a decision with benefits for both our clients and ourselves.
New Country Manager for Klarna Netherlands
In addition to this new collaboration, Klarna welcomes financial specialist Nicolas Debaig. In March he will officially take over from Henrik Nilsmo who will continue his career at Klarna as Director Reseller Management at the head quarters in Stockholm. Before Nicolas started at Klarna, he worked at ABN AMRO for seven years and had the position of Head of Business Development, Sales Management and Marketing & Communications. Nicolas Debaig about the future of Klarna in the Netherlands: "The number of Dutch web shops offering Klarna increases every year. In 2014 we want to continue that growth. Together with this team, we are looking for the perfect combination of elements which Dutch web entrepreneurs are looking for. I expect that we bring Klarna’s success to a new record in 2014.”
