SWEDEN | Swedish online payments company Trustly integrates its online banking e-payments solution into Computop’s Paygate 6.0. The first Paygate merchant to offer Trustly as payment option to its customers is CEWE, Europe’s leading photo and online print service. Trustly will, initially, be available to consumers in the Nordics and Spain.
'Reduces abandoned baskets'
Ralf Gladis, CEO of Computop elaborates: “As countries across the globe come out of the global recession at varying speeds, it is becoming more important than ever for merchants to be able to tailor their payment capabilities to match demand. Adding secure, local payment methods like Trustly helps merchants like CEWE expand their business reach and significantly reduces occurrences of abandoned baskets at the checkout.”
Preference for online banking
“We see that the preference to pay using your online bank is high across Europe. And our expanding geographical presence and real-time reconciliation appeal greatly to merchants, as integrations with world leading e-com merchants like CEWE demonstrate”, says Stefan Backlund, Head of Marketing & Communications at Trustly.
