BRUSSELS | Ogone payment services today announced the appointment of two new non-executive board members - Ali Kutay and Jay McGonigle.
A top Silicon Valley entrepreneur, Ali Kutay was invited by Ogone for his years of technology experience. Mr Kutay was most recently Senior Vice President at Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ:ORCL). Mr. Kutay was the Chairman and CEO of GoldenGate Inc. from 2004 until its acquisition by Oracle in September 2009. Previously, from 1999 to 2003, Mr. Kutay was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AltoWeb, Inc., a provider of e-business infrastructure software. Ali Kutay serves on several company boards and is also an angel investor in Silicon Valley.
Jay McGonigle brings to Ogone a wealth of global business expertise and management skills. He is the former Chairmen and CEO of the Corporate Executive Board Company (NASDAQ: EXBD). In 2009, Mr. McGonigle became an adjunct professor at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business. He is currently Visiting Professor in the Department of Business Policy at the ESADE Business & Law Schools in Barcelona, Spain.
He is also the lead outside director at Factset (NYSE: FDS) and he serves as an advisor to a number of private companies.
The appointment of two United States-based board members reflects the continued growth of Ogone's international presence - coming shortly after Ogone announced expansion into India through the acquisition of India's second largest payment processor, EBS (E-Billing Solutions). Although headquartered in Europe, Ogone is a global payment service provider with thousands of customers in 45 countries world-wide.
