GlobalCollect Introduces New Mobile Payment Interfaces

BARCELONA | At the Mobile World Congress, GlobalCollect announced a new range of mobile solutions that help online merchants to optimise the consumer experience from mobile devices. The new solutions have been developed to reduce the number of clicks required for a mobile payment and to drive conversion of mobile visitors into revenue.

Mobile Payment Consumer Experience

Mobile devices have changed the way consumers interact with the online world. Converting mobile traffic into revenue requires a consumer experience that is optimized for the device with which the consumer is engaged. GlobalCollect’s new mobile interfaces are specifically designed to create an optimal consumer experience, whatever the device used.

GlobalCollect's Key Mobile Payments Offering

Leveraging a new REST API for easy integration, GlobalCollect’s mobile offering includes newly designed, responsive hosted payment pages, mobile Software Development Kits (SDKs) for iOS and Android platforms, a JavaScript SDK, mobile-optimised payment products, and one-click payments through tokenization.

  • One-Click Payments

For recurring payments, GlobalCollect uses tokenization to enable 1-click payments from mobile devices, which enhances the user experience and drives higher conversion rates. Tokenization shifts the burden of storing sensitive consumer data to GlobalCollect, reducing the complexity and costs associated with PCI compliance for merchants. No sensitive data is exchanged during transactions, reducing risk of data breaches and reputation damage.

  • Mobile optimised payment products

GlobalCollect offers a broad range of local payment products which are optimised for use on mobile devices. On the hosted payment pages, almost all payment products which are not redirected to a third party (like PayPal or iDEAL) are also optimised for mobile devices to offer the best user experience and increase conversion.

  • Responsive Hosted Payment Pages

The responsive hosted payment pages adapt automatically to the screen size of your customers’ device, whether it is a mobile phone, tablet or desktop. A unique page editor guarantees that changing the look and feel of the hosted payment pages is fast and easy for eCommerce companies to do themselves.

  •  Mobile SDKs for iOS and Android

GlobalCollect’s new mobile SDKs enable merchants to easily create a native, in-app payment experience, a key driver of conversion. The iOS and Android SDKs provide payment fields and backend integration, which speeds up your development time. All non-redirect payment products are processed within the app, without a redirect to websites outside the app.

  •  JavaScript SDK

For companies that prefer to design and host payment pages in-house, GlobalCollect now offers a new JavaScript SDK that automatically encrypts card data in the browser of the consumer using client-side encryption. Card data is stored by GlobalCollect to reduce the cost of PCI compliance for our clients.

"Consumer experience will determine success"

“Mobile commerce growth is already outpacing traditional eCommerce growth, and the consumer experience on a mobile device will increasingly determine success for online merchants,” said Rick Centeno, Executive Vice President, Technology & Platforms at Ingenico Group.

“We developed our new mobile interfaces with the objective of providing the best possible consumer experience, whatever the device. That’s what drives conversion and ultimately revenue for the merchants.”
