Turkish e-commerce goes from strength to strength
According to Soner Canko, general manager of the Turkish Interbank Card Center (BKM), revenues generated by e-commerce in Turkey have increased by 52% over the last nine months, compared to the same period last year.
Over the same period, the number of transactions rose by 37% to 91.7 million. The figures are derived from data collected by BKM measuring the volume of credit card transactions conducted over the Internet. The proportion of Turks who shop online has now reached 20%.
