Ticketscript sees mobile payments double in first quarter

AMSTERDAM – Ticketscript, the European market leader in online, mobile and social ticketing solutions, has implemented the Adyen payment solution in their mobile ticketing application in order to enable people to buy tickets for events from their mobile device, pay for them and receive the ticket on their mobile as well. Shortly after the implementation in November 2011, the number of tickets paid for from a mobile phone was approximately 5% of the total number of tickets sold. After the first quarter of 2012 this percentage has grown up to 11%.

In line with the before mentioned growth expectations are that mobile ticket sales will become a major trend in the near future. With the Adyen platform, ticketscript can provide their customers a full service mobile solution. Currently ticketscript supports Paypal, Visa and Mastercard. The availability of iDeal for mobile will cause a leap in mobile payments and with Adyen, ticketscript will be able to integrate these payment options very smoothly
