Payment services platform increases its global reach with break-through cashU partnership.
Gobal Payment services platform, Ogone, today announced that it is launching services in the Middle East through a partnership with CashU a leading local payment method. The partnership sees Ogone create a localised version of its payment gateway, branded CPSP (cashU Payment Service Provider), which will operate in Arabic and accept local currencies and payment methods. The move means that Ogone is now able to support payments in virtually any market across the globe.
Thanks to the deal existing Ogone customers and global multinationals can now look to Ogone to handle payment transactions across the increasingly important Middle East region.
Local merchants from across the Middle East can now benefit from CPSP’s fully PCI-DSS compliant online payment processing system. Furthermore, merchants can now grow their e-Commerce businesses outside their home markets with the ability to securely process payments across the world.
Xavier Thiran, Head of Business Development at Ogone said of the cooperation, “It is important for Ogone to continue its geographic expansion in order to offer the most complete range of payment services to global enterprises - the Middle East was a natural next step. The local knowledge and on the ground support that cashU provides, having been operating in this location for almost a decade, has proven to be invaluable and has resulted in a solution that is tailored to meet the specific requirements of merchants operating in this area as well as global corporations expanding their operations to the region”.
Martin Waldenstrom, CEO of cashU said, “Our well established local customer care teams complement the sophistication of Ogone’s global payment platform and its ability to process a the most comprehensive range of local and major payment methods across the world.” He continued “Large multinationals that wish to standardise payments with a single PSP can rest assured Ogone has a solution that can scale across geographies.”
The CPSP platform went live on 31th May 2011. For more information please visit: https://www.cashu.com/business/cpsp
