VLEUTEN | One of the major Dutch banks, Rabobank, has updated its iOS and Android apps to optimise mobile checkout using payment method iDeal. Mobile and tablet shoppers having installed the bank's online banking app are now able to check out using the most popular payment method in the Netherlands.

UTRECHT | This autumn, PaySquare will be connected to the Discover network. VLEUTEN | Yesterday afternoon, ING announced their update of their Mobile Banking App, making it is possible for customers of ING to pay with iDEAL using the App for online purchases via smartphone and tablet. The iOS and Android update will improve the iDeal checkout experience for their customers. iDeal is by far the preferred online payment method in the Netherlands. Last month, the number of iDeal payments almost surpassed the 12 million transactions processed in one month. An all time record high.
WATERLOO | MasterCard and Worldline, Atos subsidiary for e-payment services, announced today their extended partnership on the integration and deployment of MasterPass™ in Germany. Last October, Worldline and MasterCard pre-announced to deploy MasterPass in all countries in which Worldline operates including France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, UK, Spain, Germany, India and other Asian ecommerce markets.
VLEUTEN | Last September, Rabobank, one of the larger commercial banks in the Netherlands, updated its iOS and Android banking app to optimise iDEAL checkout on tablets and smartphones. Rabobank expects that the use of payment method iDEAL on mobile devices will take off in the coming months as checkout has been simplified and mobile checkout abandonment should drop.
