Account2Account offers an alternative to accepting credit cards online. It is designed for merchants to accept online payments directly into their bank account in real time, by creating a one-off online payment utilising the online banking system. It is an option for merchants to offer an alternate payment method for their customers who don’t have, or choose not to use, a credit card. During the course of the Account2Account payment process, no customer’s bank account information is stored. The same security features setup on the customer’s bank account such as additional authentication methods are prompted during the course of the Account2Account payment process. The Account2Account solution can be used for banking consumers in New Zealand and Australia. The following banks are supported in New Zealand: ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Kiwibank, TSB and Westpac. In Australia, ANZ, Bank of Melbourne, Bank West, Commonwealth Bank, NAB, St. George and Westpac are supported.
