Minitix

Minitix is a bank-independent electronic purse that can be used by every Dutch consumer with a bank account (and above 12 years of age). The Minitix wallet can be pre-loaded by the consumer via the 'connected' bank account (by using online payment method iDeal), up to 150 euro, with an optional automated top-up set by the consumer. Minitix is free-to-use for consumers, merchants pay a fixed Minitix transaction fee of 12 eurocent in addition to a one-time set-up fee of 180 euro. There are no recurring Minitix membership fee costs. Minitix payments are normally settled within two business days. Merchants receive instant confirmation of successful payment and Minitix payments are guaranteed. There is no chargeback mechanism.
