Learn, Grow and Be Inspired at the CNP Expo

ADVERTORIAL | The CNP Expo was conceived and developed by CardNotPresent.com to give our readers an in-person venue to explore the issues companies presented all year long in the publication. Merchants that accept card-not-present payments and the companies that support them were thirsty for an event where they could meet to augment their card-not-present knowledge base and network to forge the partnerships that enable continued innovation and growth.

In its third year, the CNP Expo has evolved into the premier educational and networking experience for merchants that accept e-commerce, mobile and MOTO payments. Our 2014 event, which runs May 19-22, returns to the Omni Orlando Resort in ChampionsGate, Fla. Attendance doubled from the event’s inaugural year in 2012 to more than 500 attendees last year. Expo organizers expect similar growth this year.

The hardest-hitting speaker lineup

Our agenda includes educational sessions on cutting-edge anti fraud solutions, chargeback management, using biometrics in authentication, how to leverage Bitcoin and other alternative payment methods, preparing for the surge in CNP fraud resulting from EMV migration and much more. Also, the event features a pair of pre-conference half-day sessions offered at no extra charge to conference attendees.

The CNP Boot Camp has been specially programmed for attendees to learn as much as possible—as quickly as possible—about accepting card-not-present transactions and the complex issues surrounding them. The Boot Camp was developed in response to feedback from merchants and industry executives seeking foundational knowledge. It will provide campers a knowledge base enabling them to optimize their time and get the most they can out of the rest of the Expo.

Based on the phenomenal success last year of the Boot Camp, this year the CNP Expo is serving the other end of the spectrum. We are offering a Grad School program, designed for veteran payments professionals that will offer a more sophisticated look at the issues under debate in CNP payments and what challenges and opportunities lie ahead.

The sessions will be offered free of charge to all registered attendees, and will run simultaneously, so many companies have decided to send more than one executive to the show, to ensure coverage of both events on the Expo’s pre-conference schedule.

Keynote Speakers & Top Retailers

Network security—and the fraud that results when the stolen data is weaponized—is making headline news and we have Brian Krebs, the journalist writing the most important headlines in cybersecurity, delivering a highly anticipated keynote address. Other keynotes include Sarah McIlroy, founder of FashionPlaytes and FPgril.com and Greg Selkoe, founder and CEO of Karmaloop.com.

In a fourth keynote, CardNotPresent.com, antifraud technology provider Kount and card-not-present payments consultancy The Fraud Practice share the stage to announce the results of the largest study ever undertaken of mobile payments and fraud.

Top retailers sharing their experience in this area of payments during the 2014 CNP Expo’s speaking program include Disney, Geico, StubHub, Petco, Crutchfield, Reeds Jewelers, Shoe Carnival and TicketNetwork.

Attendees can also meet a huge array of acquirers, processors, PSPs, gateway providers, mobile payments solutions companies, antifraud software vendors, e-commerce platforms and others on the packed exhibit floor to explore potential business relationships.

The CNP Awards

The CNP Awards, presented annually at the CNP Expo, were created by CardNotPresent.com to recognize superlative achievement in card-not-present payment technology. The companies honored make accepting payments easier and more secure for card-not-present merchants. The CNP Awards are the only industry honors focused entirely service providers in the card-not-present industry.

It its third year, the CNP Awards will be presented in a special celebration at the CNP Expo in Orlando, Fla. On May 21, 2014. This year, awards are being presented in nine categories: Best E-Commerce Platform/Gateway, Best Processor, Best Payment Service Provider, Best Overall Fraud/Security Solution, Best Chargeback Management Program, Best Mobile Solution, Best Alternative Payment Solution, Best CNP Program Outside the U.S. and Best Subscription/Recurring Billing Program.

Two awards are presented in each category; one is determined by a panel of five independent judges and the other by an online vote. The judges were selected for their deep experience and represent some of the finest names in retail and payments consulting. In the online vote, customers of the various nominated service providers get a chance to cast a vote for the solution they use or like the best.

The Best Value

Attendees have access to 30 educational sessions featuring more than 100 speakers over 2½ days. The regular admission price also includes two pre-conference half-day sessions: The Boot Camp, which provides a foundational understanding of card-not-present payments and Grad School, our session for seasoned CNP professionals who are looking for instruction on advanced topics.
