UNITED STATES | Pivotal Payments is now participating in the American Express OptBlue program allowing small brick-and-mortar and online merchants to accept American Express Cards. There is no longer the need to open a separate American Express merchant account or to be billed separately, providing a streamlined workflow and reduced back-office management.
The OptBlue program
Pivotal Payments will now be able to sign and fully service small merchants who wish to accept American Express Cards the same way they do all other payment cards from major card networks. The OptBlue program, which is available to eligible small merchants in the United States processing less than $1 million annually in American Express transactions, makes it easier for Pivotal’s clients to focus on marketing, customer service and the other tasks critical to running a successful small business.
- One customer service contact for all card processing needs
- Single deposit for all card transactions
- Same statement for all card networks
- Simplified reconciliation for all card transactions
- Rapid initial set-up
Saving time, improving payment convenience
"Pivotal Payments is excited to be joining the OptBlue program and to provide small merchants with improved credit card acceptance options," said Philip Fayer, president and chief executive officer of Pivotal Payments. "We're pleased to be able to offer our clients time savings, value added tools and improved processes to more effectively manage their payments."
