German e-commerce sales figures in Q3 2011 go from strength to strength
German e-commerce sales in the third quarter have trumped even the figures of the previous two quarters. In the period from July to September 2011, the online and mail order industry achieved sales of €8.098 billion. Of this, €5.15 billion was achieved through e-commerce. This represents a share of 63.6 %. This was revealed by the industry association BVH yesterday on the eve of the German Mail Order Conference in Wiesbaden.

1st Clothing / Soft Goods / Footwear 2,728
2nd Media (image and sound) 792
3rd Computers and accessories 682
4th Consumer electronics / electronic appliances 681
5th Furniture and decorative items 568
Additionally, digital services continue to drive interactive trade figures: ringtones, apps and software accounted for an additional €190 million. Total revenues for the third quarter is then up to € 8.288 billion.
