Zapp - UK's Mobile Payment Initiative - Backed Up by Elavon

LONDON | Zapp, the new mobile payment method in the UK, adds merchant acquirer Elavon to its list of supporting partners. Elavon will offer Zapp mobile payments to merchants and consumers later this year. Elavon join already confirmed Zapp payment partners WorldPay, Optimal Payments, Realex and SagePay who will help roll out Zapp digital payments to millions of consumers later this year.

Capping Interchange Fees to impact Payment Card Usage

BRUSSELS | A survey commissioned by MasterCard looked at consumer opinions on the European Commission's proposal to cap interchange fees and introduce measures that could impact payment card usage. According to the results 82% of consumers believe that retailers would not pass on any cost savings from a reduction in their contribution to the costs of the electronic payments system.

EVO Payments continues to expand its merchant acquiring footprint in Europe
